Built so you can answer a parent, a principal or a customer.

Desk manages computers that real people sit at. These are the rules it follows, written plainly.

Security and privacy

Control for staff. Respect for the people at the screen.

Desk watches PCs, not people. Anything that touches privacy is off until you turn it on, and always leaves a record.

Your lab has its own database

Every lab is stored separately. One lab never shares tables with another, and you can export your roster as a CSV at any time.

Screen viewing, broadcast and remote control start off

The lab owner switches each one on and ticks a consent box first. Nothing is watched, shown or opened until you decide.

Users are always told

While a screen is being viewed, the person on that PC sees a notice on screen. A remote session shows a notice and a bar on the PC for as long as it lasts.

Everything leaves a trail

Screen views, remote sessions and broadcasts are recorded with who and when, and nothing in Desk lets anyone edit those records. Wallet history is append-only: corrections are new entries.

Signed agent updates

The PC agent only installs updates signed with our private key, which never leaves our build machine. It updates itself, so you never visit each PC.

Roles for owners, staff and teachers

Give each person only what their job needs. Teachers can look at the roster; staff run the lab and the counter; the owner manages the team, rates and switches.

Who can see what.

Access follows the job, and screen views, remote sessions and broadcasts are written down.

Owner
Manages the team, rates and lab settings, and is the only one who can switch screen viewing, broadcast and remote control on. Only an owner can add or remove staff.
Staff
Runs the lab day to day: PCs, roster, queue and counter. Cannot change who else has access.
Teacher
Can look at the roster. Cannot change settings, run the lab console or touch money.
People on the roster
Sign in at a PC with a code. They never get access to the console.

Your data, your call.

You own it

Your roster belongs to your lab. Export it as a CSV whenever you want, including when you leave.

We collect what the product needs

Names and codes for the roster, PC state, session and wallet records. Screen images are only captured while someone has that PC's screen open, and are discarded within seconds, never recorded.

Reporting a problem

Found something that worries you? Write to support@adaptivehub.app and a person will answer.

The fine print

Read the privacy policy and terms for the legal version of all of this.

See it for yourself.

Open the live demo, or set up five PCs free and look at every switch before you turn anything on.
